One of the biggest problems with being a freelance worker is that the rate of competition is phenomenal. And unfortunately, often the freelance job sites are nearly impossible to win a project from due to the sheer amount of overwhelming applicants. For this reason many freelance workers have taken to the classified ads aspect of searching for jobs, or even for promoting their skills to gain them. So what are the benefits of utilizing free online classified ads for freelance workers?
* You can list specific skills to hopefully target the job offers you receive on ads you post advertising your skills
* You can target your own ads for jobs that are in your niche or field of expertise and apply for them
* You will not have to compete with freelancers in a bidding or voting system as with some freelance working sites
* There are no time constrictions other then the allotted time your chosen classified ad service will allow the ad to stay up without re-posting
Frankly, a lot of the limitations that freelance work sites impose on workers are entirely eliminated by using free online classified ads instead. Some will even allow a worker to post a URL to their own portfolio link or to their private web site displaying important skills. When choosing to create a classified ad post to advertise your skills be sure to include some of the following information that is very important to clients searching for a freelance or outsourced worker for their business.
* Your skills with specific office programs that are vital to your freelance working niche
* A link to your portfolio or previous completed works
* Your contact information
* The volume of work you will accept
* A general idea of your prices or the value of your created works
Although some of this information seems like it may be better to save for when a prospective employer contacts you, such as pricing, you may be saving yourself and prospective employees a lot of time in doing so. Freelance workers as well as the employers who use them for outsourced work likely have their own ideas and budgets in mind for their projects.
